Our Story
“Ryan, this is Matt. You guys are going to tag tonight.” -sometime in 2006.
That’s how The Franchise got started. Ryan and Matt first met in 2004 at NWA Wildside which was one of the preeminent pro-wrestling organizations in the world at the time. At some point in 2006, they began riding to pro-wrestling shows together and that’s when Franchise Nutrition and Fitness became an idea.
They discussed the impact that food has on their bodies, the best way to craft their workouts to improve their physiques, and, most importantly, how to help others do the same. Since that fateful time in 2006, they’ve been working with patients and clients to maximize every bite and every rep. I love food and I love eating food. I want you to feel as happy about the foods you choose as I do about mine. Food should be a joy to create and is a tool to help us live better—it’s all about balance. As a Personal Trainer and a former semi-professional athlete, I fully understand the needs and desire to be the best you can be. When you’re striving to be the best at your sport food can’t be your only focus.
I’ve been increasing my knowledge of nutrition and its overall impact on health for over a decade. As a Registered Dietitian, I’ve worked in a clinical setting helping people manage their chronic conditions and diseases such as diabetes and cancer. I’ve also been helping individuals maximize their nutrition to improve their sport. I also stick to the recommendations I give to patients and clients. My clients and I create a system that fits their life, provides them with their nutrition needs, and helps them surpass their goals. Let’s build the system together that’s best for you.
Matt is a Personal Trainer and Certified Health Coach
Motivation isn’t a magical thing that just happens. Motivation is built from long and short-term goals. I found my motivation in the form of chasing my dream to become a professional wrestler, leading me to lose 70 pounds. I want to help you find your motivation too.
I understand there’s no “quick fix” or “one size fits all” approach. My 12+ years in the fitness and wellness industry as a personal trainer, health coach, and educator have given me the necessary tools to accompany you on your fitness journey.
In an ideal world, we’d all live in a bubble where nothing stood in the way of our exercise goals. We don’t have the luxury of that bubble. We have jobs, families, hobbies, and responsibilities. I believe in activities that will not only fit into your daily lifestyle, but you’ll also enjoy. I look forward to helping you reach your goals.
